Problem
RTI Submissions are rejected with the message:"The supplied IRmark is incorrect"
Usually accompanied with the message:
"The submission of this document has failed due to departmental specific business logic in the Body tag"
Resolution
This indicates the PC has a Beta Unicode setting enabled.
To resolve:
- Close Payroll
- Go to Control Panel
- Region
- Administrative
- Change system locale….
- make sure the “Current System Locale” is set to English (United Kingdom)
- untick ‘Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support’
- Restart Payroll
- The RTI submissions should now pass HMRC validation
