How to do a global share reorganisation using the Share Reorganisation wizard
Resolution
Please note this method is only applicable where the same reorganisation rule applies to all members holding shares of a particular type. There is a separate KB where different rules apply to different members (see https://www.iris.co.uk/support/knowledgebase/kb/kba-03807/).
1. Set up the new share type(s) within the Share Types tab
2. Select Share Reorganisation Wizard from the Actions panel on the left
3. Step 1: Select Share Reclassification and click Next
4. Step 2: Enter the details of the old shares e.g. For every 1 share of class Ordinary A and click Next
5. Step 3: Enter the details of the new shares, up to two share types may be specified e.g. every 1 Ordinary A share may be reorganised into 2 Ordinary B shares plus 3 Ordinary C shares, and click Next
6. Step 4: View the Results
NOTE: The wizard sums the total amounts paid/unpaid on the existing shares and allocates to the new shareholdings on an average basis. If the amounts paid/unpaid are to be allocated differentially then the wizard should not be used, and manual reorganisations completed instead
7. Click Post when ready
8. Read the summary message which appears and click Yes to proceed when ready
9. Click OK to exit the wizard
