IRIS Personal Tax- Capital Share Disposal tax calc is incorrect and an unknown share value appears
Resolution
When you have a Capital Shareholding ‘acquisition’ event and you note the capital tax calculation is incorrect and there is a unknown share value (eg £XXXX per share) showing when you run the Capital gains computation.
Go to Dividends, Capital Assets, Shareholdings, Events and open the share with an acquisition event and look at the acquisition date.
This incorrect calc and unknown share can be due to the share matching rules whereby acquisitions within 30 day are matched to the pool, changing the acquisition date to another date onwards will correct this.
