IRIS Docs v6.25 release notes

Overview

The 6.25 release of IRIS Docs introduces Web Add-ins for Office Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and a new email notification when Intrays are updated. The release also resolves a number of issues found in previous releases.

Version 6.25 no longer supports the following Microsoft products:

  • SQL Server 2014

New features

Outlook Web Addin for Office Apps

The Outlook Web Add-in has been expanded to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. To move it in line with the expanded applications, the product has been renamed to Office Web Add-in. The installation of the Office Web Addin remains the same.
In addition to this, the Office Web Add-in is controlled by a product licence.

Note: It uses the same licence allowance as the Office Add-in. For example, assigning an Office Add-in and Office Web Add-in to a user will use 2 Office Add-in licences.


Email notifications for Intray items

A new user option has been added to send an email notification to the user when their Intray is updated.

There is also a ‘Test’ button that allows the user to check the notification will work or highlight any configuration issues.

Web Banner refresh

The Web banner has been changed to bring it in line with other products.


Resolved issues

  • Fixed a scrolling issue when viewing Office documents.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘User options’ menu that affected the intray notifications operation.
  • The ECM Temp folder was not being created affecting the operation of the Email Assistant.
