IRIS runners support the British Heart Foundation
Our team: James Adams, Fiona Barnett, Rob Cant, Alex Eburne, Steven Gabb, Lucy George, Kenny Heaton, Paul Isherwood, Alex McCormack, Jonathan Oliver, Jose Pabon, Tim Randall and Leonard Richardson have all been training hard over the last few (cold and wet!) months.
Some of the team will be chasing Personal Bests, others will never have run 13.1 miles before, which is what makes this team unique! They are 13 individuals, coming together with a mix of abilities from the Datchet, Manchester and London offices, representing many IRIS Departments including; Finance, Development, Engineering, QA, Marketing and Sales to support British Heart Foundation.
Did you know…? Heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer
- Every seven minutes someone dies from a heart attack in the UK
- Around 2.7 million people in the UK are living with coronary heart disease
- Women are more than three times more likely to die of coronary heart disease than breast cancer
- Over 180,000 people die from cardiovascular disease in the UK every year – one in three of all deaths
This is one of our largest events to raise money for the British Heart Foundation this year so, if you can, please support us on our run on the 2nd March…
Visit the donation website or text your donation to 70070 using code IRIS 55.
Thank you!
