Error in COEPublish - An Error has occurred with Publishing Letters

When trying to publish auto enrolment letters to OpenEnrol user gets the error:

This error indicates the the file OEComms.dll (used to drive the OpenEnrol/OpenPayslips processes) is either missing or not registered correctly on your system.

This will normally be resolved by installing the latest version of the software with full administrator rights.

Otherwise, 

• Close payroll

• Right click on your payroll shortcut and select “Properties“

• From the Properties window, click the button “Open File Location“
• This will open your payroll program folder. In the list find the file “OEComms.reg“.
• Double click on this file and “Yes” to the following message:

• Click “OK” on the final message:

• Restart payroll, you will now be able to publish correctly

If you are still getting the error or are otherwise unable to publish AE letter or payslips plase read this KB for further advice.

Please Note: Depending on your PC setting you may not see the .reg extension part of the file name OEComms.reg. In this situation, look for the OEComms file with this icon:
