Problem

After updating to IRIS 18.1 users of Multi Database configurations are not able to get into IRIS as they are getting the error 'IsolMDBL.exe has stopped working'

Resolution

A hotfix is now available please follow the instructions below to resolve the issue. Download the Hotfix here. Once downloaded double click and when prompted change the location to your IRIS folder, this is typically C:IRIS Now click Unzip and when prompted click Yes to overwrite. Click OK and then click Close. It will now be possible to access IRIS in Multi-Database configurations. NOTE: If you have applied the workaround to “Bind” the workstation to a database this will need to be undone. Following the steps below will undo those changes Right Click on the IRIS Icon on the desktop and click ‘Open File Location’ – This will open up the IRIS folder. Look for the Application file called ‘IrisConfiguration’ – Right click on it and run as administrator. Click on File – Load Click on Workstation – Database binding Untick on the database selected and then click on OK Click on File – Save Click on File – Exit
