Problem
When printing the clients Electronic Tax return the following validation error is generated: "The 'https://www.govtalk.gov.uk/taxation/SA/SA100/07-08/1:AccountNumber' element is invalid - The value '00125874456' is invalid according to its datatype 'String' - The Pattern constraint failed"
Resolution
This message indicates that there is a problem with the bank account number within the repayment claim section on page TR 5. When filing online the bank account number must be 8 digits in length. The bank account number can be amended as follows:
1. Log on to IRIS Personal Tax and select the client.
2. Click on the Relief’s tab, select Miscellaneous.
3. Click on Repayment claim.
4. Edit the bank account number so it is 8 digits only, click OK.
NOTE: – If the bank account number is less than 8 digits, enter a 0 at the front of the number so that it totals 8 digits. If the bank account number is longer than 8 digits, an alternative account must be used, alternatively the repayment can be sent to the client by cheque
