Problem
Postings made within the Fees Ledger can be automatically numbered consecutively. Each type of posting can be included or excluded in the numbering system and if necessary have their own numbering format. For each type of posting you would like to use automatic referencing place a tick to the left of it, if you would like that type of posting to have an independent numbering system from the other postings place a tick to the right in separate sequence.
Resolution
To change the sequence ofthe references number you fees documents are posted in you will need to be logged into Iris as Master and follow the steps below.
– Open Iris Fees
– Click Options – Fees Ledger – Fees Posting
– Under the Auto Reference Generation
– Select the postings you require to have a sequence, you also have the option to select ‘Seperate sequence’ which allows a difference sequence to be followed for the specific type of posting.
– Click the option ‘Show next’; this allows you to enter the starting number sequence for the specific fees posting.
– Click OK to save changes.
If you are using Automatic Reference Generation and want to be warned if the number you are using for the posting is not the next in sequence, place a tick in Warn if not next in sequence.
