Problem
How to enter an amount into box 2 on page 3 of a return for gross interest.
Resolution
The figure is entered via the fanned pages icon at box 1 Taxed UK Interest.
Click on the Add button
Enter the Name of payer and choose a relevant Type.
Complete the Account details and enter a date within the ‘Date received’ box.
Make sure there is a tick in the box for ‘Paid gross’ and put a figure in the ‘Gross’ box.
Click on the OK button and close from the screen.
The figure within the ‘Gross’ box will now populate in box 2 – Untaxed UK Interest.
