Statutory deadline is left blank for Accounts Production job for sole traders

Problem

Why is the statutory deadline field left empty when a job type is setup for a sole trader?

Resolution

There is no statutory deadline for trades (sole trader or partnership) from a legislative point of view which is why the field is left empty. The date 31st January XXXX is the online self assessment online filing deadline. Whilst some people may find it useful to have the accounts completed for this date, it is not a statutory deadline from an accounts point of view so it is correct is is left blank. (The accounts information needs to be included on the tax return for the individual/partnership).
