Problem
When I've processed my payroll I've noticed an employee AEO hasn't deducted or has made a reduced deduction.
Resolution
If an employee AEO hasn’t deducted in the period it is usually because their earnings have fallen below a specified protected earnings amount.
Many attachment of earnings orders, like CSA deductions, are set with a protected earning amount. The employee will not have deductions processed if it would leave them with less than this amount of money.
In these situations any amount the payroll cannot take will be treated as a carry over amount. The carry over amounts will be taken in addition to the regular deduction in future periods, if possible without taking the employee below the protected earnings amount.
Alternatively
Earnie
Check in the employee details “Pay/Deds” tab. If you have been given a set total amount to deduct make sure this is typed into the “To-Date” column.
PAYE-Master
Go to “Att’ments” | “Employee Details” and make sure the attachment status is set to “Active”
