Problem

I'm trying to set up some hourly rate information for an employee but the rates tab in their details screen is greyed out and unavailable.

Resolution

When you go into an employee details you find the rates or pay/ded tab(s) is greyed out:

This is because there are no rates or payment/deductions set up at the company level.

These details need to configured first in the company THEN applied to individual employees.

For hourly rates go to “Company” | “Alter Company Details” | “Pay Rates”

Once you have saved at least one item in this list the rates tab in employee details will be activated.

For Payment/Deductions go to “Company” | “Alter Payments/Deductions”

Again, once you have at least one item saved in this list the Pay/Ded tab in employee details will be activated.
