Problem
It has been identified that after downloading a PTP Accounts Production update from the PTP website, the following error may occur during the installation process:
IRIS PRACTICE SOFTWARE - INSTALLSHIELD WIZARD
Out of Disk Space
Disk space required for the installation exceeds available disk space.
The highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently selected features. You can remove files from the highlighted volumes, choose to install less [sic] features onto local drives, or select different drives.
Resolution
This problem occurs because the downloaded file must first extract the MSI file before the installation can proceed. The MSI file is usually extracted to one of the following locations:
FOR VISTA/Windows7/Windows 8/Server 2008
C:Users<user name>AppDataLocalDownloaded Installations
Checking these locations may reveal older PTP Accounts Production MSI Files. These files can be deleted. Once removed there is usually enough disk space to proceed with the current installation.
