Problem
You've set employee as leavers by recording the leave date in their personal details but when you go to send the FPS the summary report doesn't include them in the leavers category.
Resolution
This will be because you haven’t processed pay for them in this pay period.
If an employee is set a leaver in a pay period they do not receive a payment they will show on the summary under the category “employees included in the file but not paid“.
This is correct as per the HMRC specification for RTI. The HMRC will receive the information they need to recognise this individual as a leaver.
