Problem
If you see one of the following errors:
• Error in pay input load next employee error 5 invalid procedure call or argument
• Error in load payslips error 5 invalid procedure call or argument
This error is caused by an employee that has an invalid department set up. This is probably a result of conversion and will normally present itself the 1st time a new employee is set up on the system.
Resolution
Either select an appropriate department or <None> in the employee details screen and click save:
You will then be able to process pay as normal.
To prevent the problem reoccurring the next time you add a new employee set the default employee department to <None>:
Go to “Employee” | “Default Employee”
Set the department in this list to <None>, save and close
