Problem
User finds on FPS summary that the number of leavers is incorrect
Resolution
If the employee is unpaid but marked as a leaver (ie. Last pay was in previous tax year) they will be included in the category “Employees not paid in this period”.
If you check in the XML document you will see a leave date recorded against this employee.
This is correct as per the HMRC spec for RTI and they WILL receive the correct information to recognise this employee as a leaver.
Additionally, if a leavers details have already been included in a successful FPS submission they will not appear on another FPS (even if you are resending for a previous period they got paid in) unless their details have been altered since that submission eg. payment after leaving/amending the name or address.
