Problem
When runnning the enhanced computation the capital allowances are not showing correctly. However when running the basic computation they do show correctly on here. This is due to the company being partially set up as a Multiple Trade client within Business Tax with only one trade
Resolution
– If the client is supposed to correctly show as a Multiple Trade client then go to Edit | Multiple Trades | Trade Maintenance and add the second trade. Continue with allocating all the entries to each trade.
– If the client has been incorrectly set up as a MT, go to Accounts Production and take an extract by going to Client | Extract. Create a new client within Accounts Production and replace the extract by saying “Yes” to each question except to Replace Business Tax data where you choose the “No” option. When going into the newly created client within Business tax, the MT trade will not show within there, correcting the enhanced comp in the process.
– If you do not want to creae a new client then within Business Tax go to Edit | Multiple Trades | Trade Maintenance and create a second dummy trade with a ceased date in the prior period. Then allocate everything within Business Tax to the original trade
