Error 'The new year end date must be within 4 days of the mean accounting end date' when trying to change or create a new accounting period
Resolution
Go to Client | View | Tax tab and remove the Mean accounting date
If having any further problems, delete also all logs related to the mean accounting date in Client | View | History
