Changing page numbers within Microsoft Word

Within Word, change the view from Print Layout to Normal by ………………………………….Page Break…………………………………… or ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Section Break (Next Page):::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The Section Breaks are correct, and the Page Breaks need to be removed and Section Breaks need to be entered instead. To do this, single click on the line where the Page Break exists and press the Delete key (not backspace which is above the Enter button). The Page Break line will disappear. Now go to Insert | Breaks and choose Next Page in the Section Break section. A Section Break (Next Page) line will appear. Repeat this until all Page Breaks have been replaced with Section Breaks. Now change the view back to Print Layout by View | Print Layout. It will now be possible to change the page numbers in the footers. To do this, double click on the page number at the bottom of the page and amend the number. Still getting problems? If the following (or previous) page number changes as well as a result of changing the current page number, the ‘Same as previous’ option may be enabled. This means that whatever the previous page number is, the following page will be the same. To see if this in enabled, look to the top right-hand corner of the footer box to see if it says ‘Same as Previous’. If this is the case, press the ‘Same as Previous’ button on the Header/Footer toolbar (the icon looks like two small pages next to each other with a arrow going from one to the other). This will then allow the pages to be changed independantly.
