Problem
Why does the SD55 online form (English/Welsh pension return) sometimes question the entry for employee’s total annual rate of pensionable pay?
Resolution
The England/Wales NHS Pension Agency website uses a different method of assessing this figure. It is not a critical figure. The pension agency accepts that the payroll software estimate is correct. Any warning can be overridden.
