Problem
When try to install/update software user gets the error:
Error 1310: Error writing to file: <file path> Verify that you have access to that directory
Resolution
This is a Windows error and will occur when the user account running the installation/update does not have the nessesary permisisons to the installation folder to write the changes. The folder in question will be detailed in the error message shown.
In order to complete the process you will need your system administrator to log in and run the installation/update on your behalf. Alternatively, your system administrator could make the user account the owner of the destination folder allowing them to run the installation/update themselves.
