Problem
I'm trying to update GP Payroll, but the installation stops at the searching for the installation step
Resolution
User may find that the update process just appears to stop, or it may generate the error:
‘reinstall.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close‘
This error is being caused by the enhanced security configuration of NHS systems and as such IRIS support can only provide limited assistance.
We recommend that the update is downloaded independently from an NHS system and is then ran by the system administrator on behalf of the user.
Please Note: Using the option, ‘Run as administrator‘ will not be suffcient. The adminisator account must log in to run the update.
