Problem
When scanning documents into IRIS Docs the barcode separators are no longer being picked up by the scanner, despite them being picked up on previous scans.
Resolution
The barcode separators have become ‘dirty’ and hard for the scanner to read. or The scanner lenses have become dirty and require maintenance to allow the scanner to run at its optimum performance. In the first instance a new set of separators should be used to ensure that they are not ‘dirty’, and that the scanner has every chance of reading them. If this does not help to resolve the issue, then the scanner would need maintenance, to ensure that all scanner lenses have been cleaned of debris. [A temporary work around for this solution is to increase the scanning dpi, up to 300dpi, though this will affect the scanning time and the size of the file stored.] An alternative resolution is to print out a new document seperator, if you do not have a copy of the document seperator file then please click here
