Problem
What are the automatic completions from Personal Tax to Practice Management, using the standard system job type associated with tax work, and how do these work?
Resolution
Please note this is a guide to the automatic completions available and not a definitive list of what has to be done. This is for information purposes only.
The automatic completions available for the Personal Tax standard system job type are:
PT: Checklist produced
From Personal tax if you go Admin Reports | Checklists this event completes the associated stage. If checklists are run for more than one client each client will be updated.
PT: Checklist reminder
Admin Reports | Outstanding Checklists. Similar to above in that if there is more than one client affected then each will be updated.
PT: Figures transferred from IRIS Business Tax
IRIS Personal Tax will know when figures have been transferred over and this has links to the automatic completion for the Sole Trade Tax and Partnership tax jobs. If information for more than one client has been transferred (i.e. many partners to a partnership) then each client (partner) will be updated.
PT: Final tax computation
Within Personal Tax go to Tax Reports | Tax Computations and ensure a dot is in “Final” to trigger the completion of the associated stage.
PT: Interim Tax Return produced
Within Personal Tax go to Tax Reports | Print Self Assessment Tax Return and when prompted select “Interim” and continue the screens.
