Problem

How can the seafarers earnings deduction be entered into box 11 on pg Ai2

Resolution

Users are required to: 1. Log on to IRIS Personal Tax and select the client. 2. Click Employment, select Earnings/Foreign Earnings then double click on the name of the employer on the right side of the screen 3. Complete the Deduction Claimed box then click OK 4. You would also have to go to Reliefs/Miscellaneous/Additional Information/SA100 and put in the names of the ships that the client has served on. If the employer is also based abroad and does not have a PAYE reference please see KB item 5587 for further guidance
