What is a non-charge code?

What is a non-charge code? A non-charge code groups together the non-charge activities, an example of a non-charge code maybe ‘Leave’ grouping together annual leave, sick leave and maternity leave.
To create a Non-charge code
- Open IRIS Main Menu and click on IRIS Time
- Click on File | Non-charge | Codes
- Click on New, enter ID e.g Leave and enter Description e.g Leave
- Click on OK
To assign a Non-charge Activity to an Non-charge code
- Open IRIS Main Menu and click on IRIS Time
- Click on File | Non-charge | Activities
- Highlight Non-charge Activities (e.g Sick Leave) and click on View
- Click on Non-charge code Magnifying glass and highlight and Select non charge code e.g Leave
- Click on Save
- click on Close
Report on a Non-charge code
- Open IRIS Main Menu and click on IRIS Time
- Click on Reports | General Report | Postings
- In the Options Tab, enter dates and tick box for non-charge code
- In the Selection Tab enter Non-charge ID e.g Leave
- In the columns Tab, tick client non charge, posting period, etc
- Click on OK
