Problem
When Posting the following message may appear at the bottom of the screen: 'Document type not present on system'
Resolution
This problem normally occurs if an extract has been taken from one system and replaced onto another OR if a document type has been deleted.
If the postings were made on a non standard document type then this would not be set up automatically on the system where the client has been replaced.
When the posting entry is selected a message appears in the bottom left of the screen (just above the Start button) ‘Document type not present on system’.
Check what document type is appearing on the ‘Review/specify posting batch screen’ and then enter this number within ‘Setup’.
Select: Setup | Document Types
Click New
Enter the appropriate information and click OK
