Problem
When generating the electronic CT600 there is a validation stating "period start in the iXBRL does not match the ct600"
Resolution
The date setting on the computer is set to the US date setting therefore the ixbrl computation date is tagged with the US date and does not match the CT600 with the UK date
For Windows Versions before Windows 10;
In Windows go to the Start Menu | Choose Contol Panel | Go to Date and Time | Choose Change the date, time, or number format and ensure:
Format is set to English (United Kingdom)
Short Date: dd/MM/yyyy
Long Date: dd MMMM yyyy
For Windows 10;
Click on the time in the bottom right hand side of the screen
Click Date and Time settings
Go to Region and Language
Make sure Country or region is set to United Kingdom
Make sure Languages only have English (United Kingdom) and this is set to default.
– You may need to remove English (United States) all together
Reset your machine.
