Error attempting to open IRIS after updating to windows 10 (Version 1803) IRIS Practice Version Check Error (Server=servernameinstance name, database=IRIS, Error=[Unspecified Error], Description = [DBNETLIB]Connection Open (Connect().] Specified SQL Server not found.]
Resolution
A problem when connecting to the IRIS database encountered after upgrading to the earlier build version/s of the Microsoft Windows 10 (version 1803) by a small number of customers, has now been fixed by their latest update, OS Build 17134.191. Our advice as usual, is always to be on the latest version.
To identify the version of windows please find the steps below:
1. Hold the windows key and press the letter R
2. Type winver
3. Click OK
