Problem
How to fill in box 3 on page TR 3 to show Dividends from UK companies pre 2016?
Resolution
Users are required to:
1. Log on to IRIS Personal Tax and select client.
2. From the Edit menu, select Capital Assets.
3. Select Shareholdings, click Add.
4. Enter relevant shareholding information (i.e. company name, share class) and/or select company from Master Group, click OK.
5. Click Dividends, Click Add OR Import to enter dividend information.
NOTE: – The Import facility is only available if you are subscribed to the dividend service.
From 2016 and onwards Dividends from UK companies was moved to box 4 TR 3.
