Running the install
- Download the setup file from using the following link:
https://www.keytimeonline.co.uk/registrations/Docs/setup63P.exe - Open or click Run (what you see will depend on your internet browser)
- Click Next
- Click Next or change the install directory
- You will be asked where you would like the Client Manager data to go. If you are installing as a standalone you can leave this as the default and click Next. If you have multiple users you should select a shared directory – contact support if you need any help with this.
- Wait for the installation to complete
- Click Finish
Creating a new client
- Open Compac
- Click on Accounts
- Click on New Client
- Follow the onscreen prompts
- Enter the Year end for the accounts
- Finally choose either LTD for Limited company accounts or PNR for Partnership accounts
Data Paths – Configuration Menu
- Open Compac
- Select Configuration
- Change the Data location if it differs from the location you took a note of during the Backup step.
When you are opening Compac after running the update please ensure you use the new shortcut that has been created. If you go to Help // About in Compac the version should be v63p.
Reverting Formats to use the Master File
- Open the client you want to update
- Select Accounts List of Formats.
- Open the desired format
- Press F4
- Press Whole format: Revert to Master.
Once you have completed the steps your client will be set up with a tagged format based on the LTD master. If you have previously set up custom layouts for that client you will need to add those layouts back into the client.
Any custom formats will need to be manually tagged. For layout changes that will affect a number of clients we recommend that you make the adjustments & tag within the master LTD layout
