Can a P46 (car) form be produced from the Tax Expense software?
Resolution
Following the steps below will help to produce a P46 (car) form from within the Tax Expense Platform
1. Log on to PTP Tax Expense and select the employer
2. Click the Employees/P11Ds tab then click on the employee
3. Add a car benefit transaction noting that the date will default to the most recent tax year 05/04/20xx, this may need to be overtyped with the next tax year if it is being added mid-year
4. Click the Working Sheet Details button
5. Click on the P46(Car) button
6. Click the Print P46 for FBI option at the bottom of the worksheet
7. Please note that if it is a change of car then two car working sheets will need to be added, one for the new car and one for the car being replaced
