Problem
When submitting a CT600 the following rejection is received:
Resolution
Error code 3318
The period to which this Returns Accounts applies does not coincide with the effective from/to dates of the referenced Accounts Taxonomy. Please correct and resubmit.
Location: Accounts
Please ensure that the Accounts software is running the latest version so that the correct ixbrl taxonomy is used to tag the accounts for the relevant accounting period.
For any year ends on or after 1st April 2022, HMRC require the FRC 2021 Taxonomy to be used (see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/taxonomies-accepted-by-hm-revenue-and-customs/taxonomies-accepted-by-hmrc). A 3318 rejection suggests an older taxonomy has been used to tag the accounts, mostly likely because the Accounts software used to generate the accounts needs updating to the latest version. Please update the Accounts software and regenerate the ixbrl file.
