Why student loan payment is not showing in the tax calculation when there is an entry in box 2 of page 5 of the return
Resolution
The HMRC calculation works out how much student loan ought to have been repaid based on the level of income. When there is an entry for student loan repayment in box 2 of page TR5 in the return, this will reduce the student loan payment due in the calculation. This will not show as a separate breakdown in the Tax Calculation.
