PTP Tax Platform - How to protect some clients with a password
Resolution
To solve the query above please do the following below within PTP Tax Platform:
– Click on the Spanner icon
– Click on the ‘Security’ tab – The default is ‘Username’ as ‘ptp’ and ‘Password’ as ‘master’, if this has been changed please enter the relevant username and password
– Click on the ‘OK’ button
– Click on ‘Add’ button or ‘Add new user with same rights’ button on the right hand side of the screen
– Enter the new username and password
– Click on the ‘Save’ button
– Close from the screen
– Click on the ‘Login’ button, which is next to the ‘FBI’ button
– Enter the username and password (which is the one you have created)
– Click on the ‘OK’ button – Highlight the client in ‘Find Client’ tab (the one you want to protect)
– Click the ‘Client Main Details’ tab
– Click on the ‘Protected’ button
– Tick ‘Protect Client’
– Tick ‘Hide this Client from all other users’
– You are able to tick any other relevant boxes
– Click on the ‘Update’ button
– Click on the ‘Find Client’ tab
– Click on the ‘Logout’ next to the ‘FBI’ button
– The client, who you have protected would not show in the list (Note: If you do not want the other clients to show to other users then you can repeat the steps from login)
