If experiencing problems efiling, doing a Companies House Data Check or otherwise connecting to the internet via PCSR, the following trouble shooting guide may help.

Resolution

Companies House Data Check:
Uses Port 80
a. Retrieves a transaction ID from: https://efch.ngiris.com/counter/CHdatacheckCounter.pl
b. Does a HTTP POST to: https://xmlgw.companieshouse.gov.uk/v1-0/xmlgw/Gateway  

New Companies House Data Check:
Uses Port 443
Does a HTTPS POST to: https://api.companieshouse.gov.uk  

The e-Filing and Detailed data check:
Uses Port 443
Does a HTTPS POST to: https://xmlgw.companieshouse.gov.uk/v1-0/xmlgw/Gateway  

Check for Program Updates:
Uses Port 80
Does a HTTP POST to: https://97b1c4879f5d68e821d9-d6bf9ab81e18bb804145e5b1be605557.r35.cf3.rackcdn.com/Ver2DL.txt

Service Messages:
Uses Port 80
