Problem
When accessing the All Person Records screen there are some persons highlighted with an exclamation mark as possible duplicates. After confirming the records definitely belong to the same person, how can these records be merged?
Resolution
1. Select All Persons records from the Actions panel
2. Highlight the record which is to be merged (this record will be deleted after it is merged with the second record)
3. Select the option ‘Merge selected person with another’ from the Maintenance panel
4. Click the ‘Select Person to KEEP’ button in the next screen and highlight the second record (this record will be kept after it is merged with the first record)
NOTE: The Person to KEEP record will be topped up with any additional information found in Person to DELETE e.g. Directorships, memberships
5. Select Merge to proceed
6. A confirmation prompt will appear ‘Are you sure you want to merge these two Person records?’
7. If certain, press Yes to proceed, please note this process cannot be undone
