Problem
When attempting to create a client user in IRIS OpenSpace you receive a message that indicates there was a problem with Client Creation.
Resolution
There are multiple messages referring to client creation issues, this article details the scenarios and corresponding resolutions.
The “Email address not available” error means the email address is in use as Accountant/Staff user, the following KB addresses this scenario: https://www.iris.co.uk/support/knowledgebase/kb/os-109/.
If adding a client user to a client ID you receive a message about the email address already being registered:
You can continue to Register in this scenario and it will create the client user and attach to your portal. That client will see the file & folder structure for this Client ID and the others they have been attached to.
A “This email address is already registered with IRIS/Client” message means this client user already exists within the Client ID. No further action is required.
A “Client creation was unsuccessful…this email address is already registered with IRIS OpenSpace” message means the email address is already in use as a client user and you can proceed by clicking the create button again.
That client will see the file & folder structure for this Client ID and the others they have been attached to.
