IRIS Personal Tax and VAT Filer: when you load or do an action in - You get a MTDerror.log file
Resolution
When you load a client or do a certain action, an MTD error log may appear and asks you to save and email to us. On email it will show similar to this:
It is a issue with your PT HMRC data retrieval or the VAT Filer which is trying to connect online to the HMRC server with your MTD Agent credentials/Agent services account.
If you are asked to email this log to IRIS then you will get the relevant KB article below as a reply.
If Personal tax – follow the steps on this KB
If VAT Filer – follow the steps on this KB and update and reset your credentials – if issue continues then reset credentials the next day etc as there is a known delay from HMRC where it may not pick up your credentials first time.
