IRIS Personal Tax- Employment Manual Value box greyed out and entry missing
Resolution
This is a known refreshing DEFECT in IRIS version 25.1.0 and is with the IRIS Development investigating this and plan a future fix in the next 2025 Service pack. We will update this KB once we have further news.
Under Employment earnings– If you tick ‘HMRC value’ and then ‘Manual Value’ it greys out the Employment Earnings box, blocks access to it and any data previously there will not show. The refreshing of the screen when ticking HMRC value should not be affecting the Manual value.
So if you have any clients with ‘Manual values’ and need to check if HMRC values show, then before you click ‘HMRC values’, first note down the manual value so you can enter back in.
If you do need to access the ‘Manual value’ box again: Leave the employment entry on ‘HMRC value’- then go to any other income type and click on it- now go back to Employment and it will switch back to Manual value and allow entry again (Just dont tick HMRC value).
