Problem
When a Worktype has an assigned charge rate the next line is defaulting to use this rate
Resolution
We have identified a defect in version 21.2.0.376 when a worktype has an assigned charge rate the next line is also defaulting to use this charge rate despite having the option to carry fwd whilst posting un-ticked within Time | Options | Time Ledger | Time entry tab .
You may not be aware of this error if the charge rate column is not appearing we would recommend all users to have the charge rate column to appear. You can do this by right clicking on one of the columns at the top within the timesheet itself and selecting charge rate.
You also need to ensure that in your privileges for that particular staff member you have the option “Can override charge rates whilst posting”
This will then allow you to see which Charge rate is being used per line, if the timesheets have been applied to the ledger however the incorrect charge rate has been used a correction would need to be made. Please click HERE for instructions on how to do this. This is expected to be resolved in version 21.4.0.
