IRIS PT, BT, P11D, VAT, Trust Tax- Read Only Mode or you get a License Expired pop up

Resolution

When you load the specific IRIS software and select a client and you get a Read Only Mode warning.

1. Check your IRIS licenses are up to date and correct. If they have expired then you will get the warning, do contact the IRIS SOP license team on SOP@iris.co.uk to enquire/renew the license. If you are using VAT Standalone – read the very bottom.

2. If you have renewed the license then follow these steps:

a.Go to the IRIS Main menu

b. Tools

c. License details

d. Update licenses

e. Check for updates

f. If the Tax program license appears – activate them and it will pick up the new license. Restart that tax program and check.

3. If the renewed license is still missing, then contact our Technical team on TechnicalSupport@iris.co.uk so they can reset it. However if it still show the old license then you need to contact the IRIS license team.

Can I still run reports even when license has expired: Users will still be able to run the reports even if their license expires

If you are using the VAT Standalone: Go to settings, licenses tab and check if they have licenses. if its missing /incorrect then you need to contact the IRIS license team. If they confirm you actually have a updated license then contact our Technical team on TechnicalSupport@iris.co.uk so they can reset it.
