PTP - How to find or change the data location for PTP Tax Platform

I need to know where my Database for PTP Tax Platform is or how to change the location it's currently looking at

If you are unsure where the data location for your PTP Tax Platform database is or, you wish to change the location, then please follow the steps below.

1. Go into your PTP installation folder on your machine and look for the file called PTP.ini (If you can’t see it make sure you have file name extensions enabled)

2. Right click on the file and select Open.

3. When opened you should see under Databasedir= & ServersMDBPath the pathways to the data folder containing your Tax Platform database, these pathways must be the same.

4. If you are looking to change this to look at the data on a network share, then change the highlighted sections with the network path. We recommend that this is done in a UNC format.

5. Once completed, click file then save and exit the notepad window. Afterwards, open the software and confirm you are able to access the software and see your data.
