IRIS VAT Filer- When you try and submit and get warning: Tax period not ended
Resolution
When you try and submit a VAT return for a selected period but you get ‘Tax period not ended’.
1.You have not passed the last date on the period listed. You will need to wait for the period to end as you are trying to do this too early.
2. However if the listed period is already in the past and still get the warning then you need to contact HMRC support and speak to a senior (you may also want to ask if the period listed is correct, as all listed periods also come from HMRC). This warning is coming from HMRC and not IRIS. We would recommend you first update to latest IRIS version (help and about)
